Porcelain Medallion Commemorating Goethe's Visits to Pössneck Germany in 1795

Goethe (Johann Wofgang von Goethe) was a German writer , among other things, well known for his works like Faust and his contribution to the Weimar Classicism movement.   He was a big traveller and he frequently stopped at a guest house (gasthof) in Pössneck Germany called the Goldner Löwe (Golden Lion).    This medallion commemorats these visits.  This was a limited edition medallion, but I don't know the circulation numbers.
 

On one side is a large side pose of Goethe circled by a gold band with the words "Goethe - Gedenkfeier - 1923- Pössneck".   On the reverse side is gold circle with the saying "ACH WARUM IHR GÖTTER IST UNENDLICH ALLES - ALLES ENDLICH UNSER GLÜCK NUR" which is a verse from the play Pandora written in 1808.  Under this circle is the Meissen symbol.

 
  The medallion is made from the very high grade clay (Böttgersteinzug) found near Meissen that put that region on top of the ceramic and porcelain world hundreds of years ago.  In fact the crossed swords of the Meissen works is the oldest known trademark in continuous use.  There is an interesting article that gives more details about the porcelain coins and medallions from the Meissen works.  The link is http://www.nbs.sk/_img/Documents/BIATEC/BIA04_04/25_27.pdf
 

The size of the medallion is 46mm so it is quite large.   I am also listing a similar medallion in brown porcelain medallion also with gold decorations.
