A.T.R. is an acronym for At The Ready -- and it is. Spyderco showcases several technologically advanced features in this high-end tactical folder. The original model was released last year with a titanium handle. The new stainless handled ATR offers the same tactical features at a lower price point.

The 'keep it super simple' [or 'keep it simple, stupid' if you're in Oz!] statement was our catalyst when engineering the ATR.
With fewer moving and wearing parts and high-tech components, it is a perpetual workhorse. Loaded with high-tech fetaures, this is the quintessential tactical folder.
 This all metal folder has an integral Compression Lock that provides heavy-duty lock strength. The blade is a hollow ground 'modified dagger' with a non-sharpened swedge along the spine. The titanium handle has pre-drilled holes that are mirrored in the clip increasing gripping/indexing power.  Holes in the handle trim its weight and flares on opposing ends result in a finger choil and pinky shelf for a confident grip in any draw position. 
The Cobra Hood positions the thumb under the hood's overhang for rapid (by feel) deployment and forms a seat for the thumb during cutting. The blade steel is CPMS30V and the hollow-ground blade features an unsharpened swedge, integral compression lock, stainless steel handle, Cobra Hood, and ambidextrous tip-up carriage.

A Little about me

I'm a Canadian and I love hockey ;).  I'm a user, a accumulator, aspiring maker (my grinds are horrible right now),and now probably a collector. I collect mainly cool gadgets as well as knives. I am a huge Spyderco Nut, because they represent to me the best all around production company period. They have set the bar so high that I doubt any other company will be able to reach it.  They started it all by making the first folding production knife that could be opened with one hand and had a pocket clip. They made the first tactical knife. (Before that they made the best Sharpener in the Business)

This isn't a business for me it. I got some awesome deals and I would like to pass them on to others. Many knives I have listed are discontinued and very hard to find.
