rare German Bielefeld linen (silk) notgeld sheet - 25 m

Germany produced an extraordinary number of banknotes in odd materials such as leather, linen, silk, aluminum foil in their long slide into economic chaos in the early 1920s. Bielefeld, a textile town in Germany led the way in manufacturing some intricate and highly allegorical notes. The individual notes are made from linen or silk. I don't know how to differentiate for this series. If I recall seeing other sheets, these four represent a partial sheet that has embroidery around the outside. Super super hard to find. I saw the sheets of German silk or linen notgeld going for stupendous prices in recent German auctions!!

You could literally spend hours decoding the imagery and legends on this note as it tries to convey message after message. This note depicts hobbled people walking on crutches into healing springs and bounding out the other side under the shining sun.

roughly 8.5 inches by 11 inches overall. The sheet has been stored folded with one vertical fold and one horizontal fold.
