Fantastically rare Commodore Amiga 3000T - Tower model of the famous A3000. There were not many of these made, and even less of them put up for sale but here is your chance to own a rare piece of Commodore history.
The system is in full working order and is supplied with a power cable, mouse and original keyboard (on which all keys are complete and in full working order). Due to the age of this system no returns will be accepted and the machine is effectively sold as seen though I can assure you the screenshots were taken today and all functions tested including the internal flicker fixer - monitor is 19" VGA monitor from which screenshots were taken.
The outside of the case is in pretty good condition - on top is a patch where a huge sticker was placed - this has been removed but some adhesive residue still remains and needs removing. The face plate is complete but has one or two broken/missing tabs which means that it is loose though it does stay on of its own free will unless pulled at. There is a slight score to the right hand side of this face plate. Both sides complete, one with Kensington type lock and the rear panel is as pictured including the usual notch cut out to allow a Video Toaster (now removed) to be installed.
The system/sale contains:
- A3000T Revision 6.1
- KS 3.1 (newly added)
- 2mb CHIP ram
- 35mb FAST ram (4mb on board, 31mb on the Mercury)
- Mercury 040 accelerator card - speed of 68040 not known but assumed to be 33Mhz
- UK AT PSU - this has been swapped out as the system was shipped in from the USA - I still have the original 110v supply should this be required but will incur additional shipping and no guarantee as to its working as I do not have the ability to test it. The new PSU is spliced/crimped to the original MB connector and is velcro'd in place in the case - I was going to make a new back plate but work has got in the way of this hobby.
- 8.5GB SCSI hard drive this loads up with Workbench but is not in the best state as far as software goes - could do with wiping and a fresh installation - a mini project for the lucky winner!
- SCSI CDROM drive
- Famous on-board flicker fixer to allow direct connection to VGA monitors/flat panel LCD with disable switch for non-compatible screen modes.
- 2 * internal HD 1.76mb floppy drives. Both drives work but one of them has a slight issue in that the disk-in switch appears faulty - if you put a disk in with workbench up, the icon will appear for the disk. Then moments later will disappear then re-appear again - should be simple enough to fix - the other drive works 100%.
- Keylock complete with key (pictured)

- The hard drive actually states 9GB
- The FDDs are Chinon FB357A models
- The score which is mentioned on the front plate can be seen on the pictures, is approx 1" long with a smaller chip above it. It is not cracked.
- The tabs which secure the front plate - both top tabs which hold the front plate on are there, just loose - in need of some glue and plastic re-inforcing.

DELIVERY
Hi all
Having searched around a bit I came across a website www.p4d.co.uk which quotes for deliveries, considerably cheaper than the original postage cost.
Assuming a packed size of 25KG in weight, 60cm length, 70cm height and 30cm width, UK 2 day delivery is quoted as £6.99 + VAT for the delivery alone within the UK Mainland - insurance would be on top of this cost but I can't imagine it to be too high.
Other quotes are available to Europe and Worldwide - please check on www.p4d.co.uk for more information.
On completion of the auction, the successful bidder can select a delivery method of their choosing provided the insurance is to the relevant limit (to protect both of us) and only the cost of that delivery will be added to the final sale value - no additional fees for packing or otherwise.
Thanks for looking!
